What he achived
The mine achievement of John Calvin is the theory. This theory is called Calvinism. It is a big topic so here are the main parts of it.
In 1550, Calvin published his first doctrine. In simple terms now, its called Calvinism. There could have many ways explaining it but here are the short terms. TULIP.
T-total depravity. This means that all man is dead! Only Jesus can make us born again. A way... REPENT!
U-unconditional election. This means that no matter how good or how bad you are it doesn't matter. Jesus still loves you!
L- limited atonement. This means that every sins that are made are forgiven for people who repent. This is basically referring to how Christ died on the cross for our sins.
I- irresistible grace. This means that the grace of God to a person cannot be resisted. Grace will lead the people to heaven while naturally will lead the people to hell.
P- preservation of the saints. This means that once you are saved you cannot be unsaved.
All in al, I think John's theology impacted a lot in this world today. There are over ion people that accept and agree with Calvinism. This idea has made many, many people around the world understand deeply and more accurately about the Bible and Jesus.
